Marion Harvey passed away on Monday, March 25 in Chilliwack, BC at the age of 85 years.
Born in Rosedale, BC, Marion spent her school-age years in the Chilliwack area. After earning her teaching certificate, she taught in Kaslo, Powell River and Surrey. She married husband, Maurice, in 1952 and they settled and raised their three children in Coquitlam, BC. She resumed her teaching career in 1966 and taught in several elementary schools in the Coquitlam District until her retirement in 1988. Until recently, she was active in the Retired Teachers Association and the Kiwanis service club.
Marion will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Evan (Velma); her children, Don (Karen), Lois (Allan) and Joan (Mike); grandchildren, Christina, Jennifer (Steve), Sarah (Steve), Lisa and Brian; and great-grandchildren, Sophia and Bruce. She was sadly predeceased by husband, Maurice; siblings, Leyland (Mary), Gerald, Jean (Barry) and Audrey (Ken).
