Sadly we announce the peaceful passing of our Mother, Baba, Sweetie Baba, and friend, Mabel Wolchuk on September 19, 2009 at Chilliwack General Hospital, at age 96.
Mabel was predeceased by her husband Mike in 1978. Together they ran several service stations in Winnipeg. In 1985 she moved to Chilliwack to be closer to her family. She loved dancing, reading, crocheting and crosswords. She had a quick wit, and loved jokes.
Mabel’s greatest joy was her family, friends and “Q”. She leaves behind her loving family, daughter Judy (Ed) Hopko, grandchildren: Karen (Murray) Nelles, of Chilliwack, Mike (Steph) Hopko of Sarnia, Ontario; great-grandchildren Kurtis and Kole, and Andi, sister Lena Swirski of Winnipeg, and nieces and nephews.
