Louisa Watson Duncan passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the age of 93 years. Louisa was born on November 5, 1919 in Aberdeen, Scotland and came to Canada in 1924 with her family. She grew up in Chilliwack, moving to Trail when she married and then back to Chilliwack.
She was a member of the Eastern Star and Rebekahs for many years. She also made many friends selling Avon and loved playing bingo at the Legion every Sunday. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Diane Townsend and Sylvia Taylor; and by her grandchildren: Donald Meyer, Ginny Waldo, Michael Townsend, Shane Johnson, Brent Johnson, Adam Johnson; and seven great-grandchildren; and by her nieces: Kate Dahlstrom, Susan Tarras and Linda Tarras. She is sadly predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth Tarras, father Alfred Tarras, brothers: Alfred Tarras, John Tarras and Jim Tarras, and by her sister Bessie Dahlstrom. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm on Saturday February 9, 2013 at I.O.O.F Hall, 46008 Reece Avenue, Chilliwack, BC.
