1953-2021 ~ Our world has lost something irreplaceable since the passage of Lin Heppner on May 12. Although she has left a legacy of outstanding interior design projects, we have lost the singular intelligence, talent, and spirit that made those projects possible and that were the foundation of her many great friendships.
Lin's sharp eyes, her active mind, her brilliant sense of humour, her common sense, her politeness, her disdain for pretentiousness. Her generosity. Irreplaceable.
Lin was born in Penticton B.C., the eldest child of Willard and Shelagh Loewen. She grew up in the Okanagan, then moved to Vancouver to work and attend college. In 1978, she married Gordon Heppner of Chilliwack.
Lin became an award-winning interior designer, working with Robert Ledingham Design before forming Art+ Commerce Design. She leaves behind her husband Gordon, her brother Ron Loewen and his children, plus countless friends and contemporaries.
Lin was a longtime supporter of World Vision Canada. A celebration of her Iife wiII be held at a later date.
