We are saddened to share that our beloved Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother & Partner passed away on the morning of December 7/19 at Chilliwack hospital. We are comforted knowing she is finally free of pain and immobility.
Lexa was the daughter of Anne & William Thompson. She grew up in Oakville & Simcoe, Ontario. She married Bob Fehr in 1958 and they had two sons Rick & Stephen. The family spent time in Germany before moving to Chilliwack in 1969. Lexa was a Justice of the Peace in the Chilliwack Court System. She was proud of her position & was well respected by everyone that she worked with. Lexa was an active member of the International Soroptimist Club of Chilliwack and volunteered many hours at their fund raising projects. She loved to gather with her friends and family at her home. She was always up for a game of cards and a glass of wine.
Lexa leaves to mourn: her partner Ken Thompson; her sons Rick [Judy] & Stephen [Barb]; Grandchildren: Ryan [Kathryn]. Will [Margo], Aidan [Natalie] & Kale; Great Grandchildren:Riley, Cayden, Rory, Annika & Leo; her brother Bill [Irene] and many friends.
She was predeceasedby former husband Bob Fehr and husband Roger Huysman.
The family wishes to thank the Home Care staff of Fraser Valley Community Care for their kind and gentle care over the last 10 years.
When Lexa lived on Robson St she always cared for stray & Feral cats. She lovingly fed them, provided shelter and arranged for them to be cared for by the Humane Society. Donations in memory of Lexa can be made to the Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven.
