We are sad to let you know that our Dad passed away July 8th, in his 91st year. His health had been sliding downhill since Mom died. Liz had been the love of his life for over 62 years. Dad was born in Ottawa, moving to Quebec City while his father served in WWII.
After working at Wallack's Art Gallery, he joined the Army where he proudly served as a sapper for 37 years. His specialties were demolitions and bridges and later transferred to Northern airfields, as a CWO.
After retiring in Chilliwack, he turned his talents to wine making, stained glass, and the Legion.
He is predeceased by his brother Carl, son James Karl and wife Elizabeth. He is survived by daughters Sandra and Dr. Tracey (Anthony) Melidy, grandchildren Connie and Andrew, daughter-in-law Trudy and sister Ruth Moreau (Roger). All his nephews and nieces will miss thier Uncle Mac. Thanks to Birchwood and the Bradley Center for their care. Interment to be at the Legion cemetery on Little Mountain.
