(nee Ladislav)

Leslie Polak (nee Ladislav) passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at his residence in Chilliwack, BC at age 77 years. He was born July 30, 1931 in Czechoslovakia.

Les is survived by his daughter Gail Williamson, of Victoria, BC; her children Robyn and Pamela; his son, Michael Polak of Red Deer, Alberta; his daughter Kimberly (David) Sterling of Wainwright, Alberta and their children, Ashlie and Davis.

He was predeceased by his parents, Michal and Helena Polak and his wife of over “50” years, Audrey (nee Darbyshire).

At the age of three years, Les moved with his family from Czechoslovakia to homestead in Lethbridge, Alberta. From there, they moved to Parsons, BC and finally to New Westminster. Les was a member of the Armed Forces from 1953 – 1987.

He will be remembered as a generous, loving husband and father, who was always there for his family. His children will cherish their many trips to Disneyland and their Dad’s ability to “fix anything”. If there is a Bingo Hall in Heaven, Les and Audrey, our mum and dad, will be there …together again!

There will be no service by request.
