Leonard Phillip HEPTING

On Sunday morning, January 20, 2008 Leonard Phillip Hepting passed into the arms of Jesus his Lord and Savior, his Shepherd and Friend.

Leonard’s life began December 28, 1928 at Lipton, Saskatchewan.

Leonard worked in several places and in various types of jobs in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and BC.

He served as pastor of the Evangelical United Brethren church in several locations in Saskatchewan.

In 1998 Leonard and Margaret (Wagner) retired to Chilliwack, BC. Leonard is survived by his wife, Margaret; daughters: Colleen Hepting of Calgary, and Marlane (Ray) Gervais of Chilliwack; grandchildren: Stephanie (Jake) Tessman, Scott Henshaw and Sydney Hepting; one great-granddaughter: Lily Grace Tessman; siblings: one sister, Dorothea Seib of St. Catharines, ON; two brothers: Irvine (Gertie) of Regina, SK; and Harold (Betty) of Unity, SK; four sisters-in-law, Ruth and Vera Hepting of Lipton, SK, Martha Hepting of Portland, OR, and Ruby (Bob) Grant of Chilliwack, BC; brother-in-law, John (Laura) Koop of Pitt Meadows, BC; many loved ones and friends.

His parents, Fred and Katharina; two sisters: Ida and Ruth; four brothers: John, Jacob, Arthur, and August; two sisters-in-law: Clara Koop and Mildred Hepting; and three brothers-in-law: Mike Rathgeber, Alfred Senft and Ralph Seib predeceased him.

He will be sadly missed but his testimony and influence lives on.

We wish to thank Dr. S. Bester and the Bradley Centre workers for their loving and kind care of Leonard.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 25th at The Evangelical Missionary Church, 9310 Williams Street, in Chilliwack.
