Leo has gone to his Savior in Heaven, Jesus Christ. While we are sad to lose his quick wit and loving kindness, we are glad he has gone from the pain and suffering he underwent to paradise. He is reunited with many that went before him: parents, 2 nephews, and all but one brother. Leo had a great career with B.C. Hydro for 35 years. He went from a meter reader to the office manager in North Vancouver. He and his wife Betty were married for almost 57 years and were active members of 10th Ave Alliance Church in Vancouver. They retired to Chilliwack in 1990 and enjoyed a 21 year vacation. Leo is survived by Betty, two sons, Dale (Vic), Brent (Connie); 4 grandchildren, Karyn (Ben), Heather (Evan), Barry and Holly (Tyler); 2 great-grandchildren, Lilli and Zarah; Brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Irene Taylor; Niece, Carmi (Grant) Wilson; Sisters, Mary, Agnes, Dora (Ed), Anna (Hans); Brother, Peter (Irene); Sisters-in-law, Luella and Louise; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brothers, John (Luella), Jake (Mary) and Dave (Louise); and Nephews Brad and Jamie. A service to celebrate Leo’s life will be held Saturday, June 18 at 1:00 p.m. at Chilliwack Alliance Church, 8700 Young Road, Chilliwack.
