(Corry) nee Dykstra. At His appointed time, God took to His eternal glory our dearest mom, oma and great oma on Saturday April 6, 2013 at the age of 76 years. Mom was born February 21, 1937, in Schiedam, the Netherlands. She immigrated to Taber, Alberta in 1956, married Gerrit (Jerry) Breukelman; had four sons, Harry, John, Ken and Ed. They moved to Chilliwack, BC in 1967 and has since resided here. She was a stay at home mom who loved to read, knit and crochet. She was always content, happy and laughed a lot.
Mom is lovingly remembered by Harry Breukelman and Dorothy Breukelman; Derek and Miranda; Chris and Michelle - Tyler; Greg and Alishia, all of Ontario; John and Florine Breukelman, Shawn and Zwanette Vandergaag, Aaron, Koraziah and Jaxon; Gerard and Jordan; Ken Breukelman and Ed Breukelman, all of Chilliwack and Abbotsford; and many in-law relatives in the Netherlands, Ontario, Alberta and BC. Mom was predeceased by dad in September 2004; 2 younger sisters; her parents, Roelf and Zwaantje Dykstra and brother Roel Dykstra. A memorial service was held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Canadian Reformed Church, Chilliwack the Rev. A. Pol officiating. Interment was at the Vedder View Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers were: John, Ken, Ed, Gerard, Jordan and Shawn. Honorary pallbearers were: Harry, Dereck, Chris, Greg, and Herman Kobes. The family sincerely thanks all those who, in one way or another, supported mom especially in the last few years when her health was failing her. To the wonderful Dr. P. Graham and his office ladies, the CGH hospital staff, your kindness and compassion was evident in your care for her and the family. Thank you all very much!
