Kenneth Wellington Graham passed away on June 23, 2004 in the Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 81 years. He was born on October 7, 1922 in Brandon, Man.
Ken grew up in Brandon, attending school there. Later he worked for the CNR, the Brandon Fire Department and as an Ambulance Driver. He married in Brandon, had a daughter, Donna Louise, and adopted a son, Robert. In 1960, Ken moved to Edmonton where he worked in real estate. On June 2, 1962, he married Shirley Dena Murdoch, a registered nurse. In 1971, they moved to Chilliwack where Shirley continued her nursing career at Chilliwack General Hospital.
Ken liked fishing, hunting and collecting. He had a love of nature and animals, especially his dog. Lady. He will be remembered by his friends for his sense of humour and his many stories.
In retirement, he and his wife traveled extensively through Canada and the United States and belonged to the Good Sam Club. A highlight was a cruise through the Panama Canal for his 80th birthday.
He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter Donna.
Ken is survived by his wife, Shirley, adopted son Robert, two grandchildren, Murray and Raeanne and two great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, june 30, 2004 at 2 pm from the Mt. Shannon United Church, Yale Rd, Chilliwack, BC, Reverend Art Henderson officiating.
