RUSSELL, Kenneth James
August 17, 1931 - March 9, 2016
It is with deepest hearts that we announce the passing of our belloved father, Kenneth Russell on March 9, 2016 at the age of 84.
Ken was born and raised in Athabasca, Alta. He grew up in Athabasca and married his beloved wife Vera. They lived on a homestead and raised sheep. They had 4 children. In 1966 they moved the family to Chilliwack, BC. Ken worked at a woodmill for years then was a bartender at the Legion and the Royal. Ken loved to visit with people at Townsend Park while collecting cans. We will miss hearing him recite his many poems.
He is survived by his children, Debbie (Edmonton), Glen (Calgary), Phil and Elaine (Chilliwack); grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A service will be held at First Avenue Christian Assembly Church, 46510 First Ave., on April 9th, at 11:30am.
