Julia "Ruth" McKitrick (nee Clark) of Sherwood Park AB, passed away on October 18, 2020.
Ruth was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan on March 1, 1926. She was a resident of Chilliwack for many years.
Ruth was known for her warm personality, quick wit and organizational abilities. She was also called the "cookie lady" for her baking skills. Ruth was an active member of the Kiwanis Club and liked nothing more than a good game of cards with friends. She was also one of Canada's first female bank managers.
Ruth was predeceased by her first husband John Martin McKitrick in 1992 and by her second husband Roderick Francis Bourke in 2012.
Julia Ruth McKitrick is survived by sons Gregory McKitrick (Annie) of Sherwood Park AB) and Roy McKitrick (Debra) of Port Coquitlam BC, sisters Olive Quast (Sherwood Park AB) and Florence Forbes (Burlington ON), grandsons Samuel, Isaac (Camille), Grant and Mark.
