(Bob)
(July 14, 1925 - May 30, 2008)
Bob was born in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan and moved to Rosedale in 1938. He met Louise Devlin when he returned from World War II and they married on July 27th 1948. Their first home was on McGrath Rd and moved into Chilliwack in 1963.
Bob was a logger three years before beginning his 37-year career as a carpenter at CFB Chilliwack. He became involved in the union and became the national Vice President of the Union of National Defence. He also developed a drug and alcohol program that was very successful and utilized by other organizations across Canada.
Bob began playing duplicate bridge in 1970 and became a life master by 1977. He also ran five bridge clubs in the valley as a certified director.
He is predeceased by sisters, Gibley Janicki and Alice Fedoruk.
He is survived by Louise, his wife of 60 years, his six daughters: Yvonne, Simone, Jeannette, Suzanne, Felice, Corinne; and son. Cam. He also thoroughly enjoyed his 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Dad left us a legacy of humour and honesty and will be deeply missed by family and friends.
