Johanna Van Tuyl passed away peacefully at Glenwood Care Centre on October 26, 2003 at the age of 73 years after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. The Lord has taken from our midst our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. Johanna was born November 1, 1929 in Gameren, The Netherlands. She was predeceased by her husband Hendrick Van Tuyl in 1992. She is lovingly remembered by her 3 daughters, Myntjie (Frans); Gonny (Jenne), Henny (Bill) and 8 grandchildren, Elbert, Hanny, Wilma (Michael), Johnny (Wendy), Henry in The Netherlands, Joanna (Jack), great-grandchild Jackson, Henry (Louise), Alex and two step grandchildren, Darren and Vanessa, 2 sisters in The Netherlands, Geertje (Gerrit), Jaantje (Bas) and brother-in-law Arie.
Funeral Service will be held at the Reformed Congregation of North America on Friday, October 31, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. T.R. Treur officiating. Interment at Chilliwack Cemeteries. Many thanks to the staff at Glenwood for the love and care you gave to Mom over the last 3 years. Special thanks to Dr. Quinn and the Klop family and friends of Mom that came to visit in the rest home and the hours you all spent with us at her bedside.
