It is with great sadness that the family of Jerome Rene Lavergne announces his peaceful passing on Thursday September 3, 2020 at the age of 63 in Chilliwack, BC. Jerome was the beloved son of Rita and Guy Lavergne of Angus, ON and the loving brother of his twin sister Joanne (Ed) and his four brothers Peter (Rosanne), Rick (Elizabeth), Paul (Carol) and Don. Jerome will also be remembered by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews (Lavergne and Giroux families) and the many friends he made in Angus, Barrie and Chilliwack.
Jerome married Christine LeFebvre in Barrie, ON and eventually settled in Chilliwack, BC and grew to love his career as a live sports video camera operator and his favourite hobby - fly fishing. Jerome was the proud father of Joel and Alycia (Joe) and the very proud grandfather of Lily.
Thank you to all his friends for the support and love you gave Jerome through the last few months as he battled through his cancer treatments. Your gentle and loving care were a great tribute to our brother Jerome. Thank you also to the doctors, nurses and staff at Cascades Hospice - your professionalism and support are appreciated by Jerome and his family.
A celebration of Jerome's life will be held at a later date in Chilliwack BC
