With great sadness we announce the passing of our dearly loved father James R Carey on Dec 24, 2021, following a brief illness. Predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years Doreen Carey and his much loved grandson, Regan Araki.
Jim was the last surviving member of the Cecil & Rosa Carey family of Chilliwack BC.
Proud father to Mike Carey (Sherry), Dan Carey (Jeannie), Jamie Spear (Ray Maher) and Maria Hall. Proud grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Also survived by his cherished companion of more than 12 years, Ann Clark.
Dad enjoyed a long, successful career in the retail housewares industry. He was well respected by the many friends and business associates he met through his work at Eaton's and Coranco Corp.
Dad will be best remembered for his quick wit and his love of a good joke, a round of golf, travel and casinos.
Pop - please keep singing 'Two Little Flies' for all the kids in Heaven!

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022, 1:00 PM at First Memorial Funeral Services - Fraser Heights Chapel 14835 Fraser Hwy, Surrey BC V3R 3N6 Masks required, no reception.
