Grace was born in the Columbia Valley community to George and Zella Minnick (nee Fedor) being the 4th child of six. She is pre-deceased by older sisters Anne, Myrtle, and Beatrice, and younger brother Carl. Youngest sister Zell in Abbottsford passed away Jan 24, 2018 at 99 yrs.

Grace and husband Ron resided many years in Chilliwack, BC, after living in Vancouver, Quesnel and North Surrey before retiring to Kitsilano area of Vancouver in the 1980's.

Grace is survived by sons Bruce and Randy and his wife Keryll, and sons Jason and Daniel (Andrea). Grace became a great grandmother to twins born three days before her passing.

Grace grew up on a homestead farm near Kosiker Road in Columbia Valley adjacent to her uncle Mike's farm on the U.S. side. Both farms were thought to have been on U.S. soil but were separated by customs gov't surveys after WWII and subsequently re-designated to be on Canadian soil. Grace and her siblings attended Maple Falls Union High School on the U.S. side til graduation. Grace and sister Zell remained in Canada while her parents and siblings moved to the U.S. Grace worked in Vancouver at Army and Navy Department Store before marrying Ron on Nov 9, 1946.

Grace enjoyed league bowling and contract bridge with friends and gardened throughout her life. She was an avid crossword puzzle worker well into her old age and enjoyed local travel and camping trips with family. She will be missed by all who knew her and enjoyed her generosity of spirit. Grace spent her final years at Belvedere Assisted Living in 2011 and to Madison Care Centre in 2014, both in Coquitlam, BC. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for taking such good care of her.
