Gordon Henry RODEWALT

Gordon Henry Rodewalt, born on June 11, 1922 in Vidora, Sask., peacefully passed away into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on May 12, 2006, at the age of 83.

He is survived by his brothers Van Rodewalt of Chilliwack, Larry (Beverly) Rodewolt of St. Albert, AB, his children Marilyn Covell, Ronald (Lorraine) Rodewalt, Donna Rodewalt, Ken Rodewalt, all of Edmonton, AB, Ken Rodewalt, all of Edmonton, AB, Lee Barth (Betty-Anne’s son - a grandson raised by Gordon and Helen), plus numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lovingly missed by his friends and full time caregivers Frank and Evelyn Kwak, Helen’s niece Val (Terry) Spurrell and their daughter Christy. Also sadly missed by his pal Bonnie.

Gordon was predeceased by his wife Helen Margaret (nee-Leslie) Rodewalt, his first wife Marianne “Anne” (nee Cousineau) Rodewalt, daughter Betty-Anne Barth, brother Hans Rodewoldt, and sisters Paula “Lorea” Tanner and Elsie Shaw.

A Celebration of Gordon’s Life will be held on Thursday May 18th, 2006 at 7:00 pm at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave, Chilliwack. Visitation will be held prior to the service, and a reception to follow in the tearoom. Pastor Tim Champ officiating.

Burial will be held on Friday May 19th at 9:30 am at Chilliwack Cemeteries.

Gordon continually told us:

“For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
