(Sept. 3, 1931 – Jan. 4, 2008)
Gordon Allen suddenly passed away on January 4, 2008 in Chilliwack, British Columbia.
Born in Vancouver British Columbia, Gordon lived all his life in BC, except for a brief nine months in Bateman, SK as a young child.
He grew up in Vancouver and attended Kitsilano High School, where he graduated from in 1949. There he met his best friend, Ken, and they are still best friends today. Gordon loved his family life, and especially enjoyed time with his six granddaughters.
In 2005, along came his great-grandson Evan (finally a boy). Then along came Marcus. His namesake.
Gordon will be sadly missed by family and friends. Gordon is survived by his two brothers, Conrad (Isabelle) Lamberton of Ottawa Ontario, Bill (Carole) Lamberton of Mercer Island Washington, his three children, son David of Langley, BC, daughter Karen (Randy) of Chilliwack, BC, and daughter Cathy of Langley BC, his six wonderful granddaughters, Sheri (David) Cario of Sydney Australia, Renae (Sean) Dalton of Abbotsford, BC, Sara, Tiffany Kelsie and Kirsten Lewis of Langley BC, two great grandsons Evan and Marcus Dalton of Abbotsford BC, nephews James and John Lamberton, niece Joanne Lamberton, cousin Kathleen, Jake, Sean, and Allan of Arcadia California, niece Marilyn (Gary), Christopher Flatten, Cloverdale, BC, nephews Steven and Gerry Greer.
Gordon was predeceased by his mother and father Sarah Stella Lamberton and Hugh David Lamberton and his children’s mother, Josephine Shirley Price.
Gordon had many life long friends. Ken and Marion Pemberton, Arthur and Nadine Lepetz, Ken and Lisa Richardson, Bob and Margaret Curle and Bob Fitchett. There were many wonderful times with family and friends. Times we will never forget. Gordon also had many wonderful times with the Kitsilano 49ers.
We would like to say goodbye, and that we loved you dearly. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. Rest in Peace Dad.
Visitation to take place at Henderson’s Funeral Home on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 10th 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack, B.C.
