HILL, Glen Andrew

July 6, 1938 - October 10, 2016

With great sadness, the family of Glenn Hill announces his passing on October 10th. Glenn was born and raised on the family farm in Manor, Saskatchewan. He worked as an electrician for Sask Power in Regina and North Battleford. He moved with his family to Hudson Hope with BC Hydro in 1969 and to Prince George in 1971. The family relocated to Sardis in 1976. Although he loved the north and our beautiful valley, he never lost his love for the prairies. Glenn was a devoted family man, an avid golfer and pool player. He enjoyed travelling and visited a number of countries. Glenn believed in giving back to his community and did so throughout his life. Over the years he was actively involved with Boy Scouts, swim clubs and in his church community at Carmen United where he particularly enjoyed singing in the men's choir. Glenn was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Vera, his sister Gladys Wees, his first wife Lorette Hill and his infant granddaughter Jessica Lightle. He is survived by his wife Joan, sons Chris and Brian (Cindy), and daughters Neena (Randy) Hill, Erin (Andy) Maj and Shannon (Mike) Oliver. Missing their dear Papa are Josh and Niki Hill, Marina and Chelsea Hill, Haley and Keegan Lightle, Ross Hewton, Anniak and Lucas Maj, and Max, Isabel and Sophie Oliver. Glenn blessed our lives with his love, great humor, and devotion to family and friends. Funeral Service will be held at Carmen United Church, at 11:00 am October 20th, with a tea to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Chilliwack Hospice Society, BC Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice.
