George Roy Thibo–deau of Chilliwack, passed away in Chilliwack General Hospital on January 3, 2008, surrounded by his family.
George was born in Boston Massachusetts on June 24, 1925. The family moved to Nova Scotia when George was five months old where they settled in Ashmore Digby County.
At the age of 23, George moved to Ladner, BC and worked for Dairyland for 32 years. He met the love of his life, Doreen May Holmes in Ladner. They were married on November 23, 1951 in the Ladner United Church.
George eventually moved to Chilliwack to retire with his wife Doreen and develop a large circle of wonderful friendships.
George is survived by his loving family, wife Doreen; sons: Michael (Wanda) Thibodeau, and Richard (Alaina) Thibodeau; daughters:Alice (Greg) Pearson and Loriann (Ryan) Thiessen.
George will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Carly, Robert, Jonathan, Patrick, Trevor, Tom, and Dylan and his great-grandchildren Madison and Mackenzie.
A Remembrance Gathering will be held for family and friends at the family home on Sunday, January 13, 2008.
The family would like to thank all the staff on the third floor of the Chilliwack General Hospital for their care and compassion for George and his family.
