Evelyn passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Saskatchewan, then moved with her family to Chilliwack in the early 1940's and she remained here ever since.
Chilliwack is where she met her husband (Richard) and together they owned and operated a successful business in Sardis (Henry's Meat Market) for many years. In her retirement she enjoyed travelling, fishing, camping, gardening, bowling, and loved playing scrabble with her friends. She was also a very active member in Carman United Church.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Richard, siblings Ernie, Edward, Norman, Les, Margaret and Trudy. She is survived by daughters Cathy, Nancy (Barry), grandchildren Brent, Robin, and her brother Robert.
A celebration of life will be held at later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Carman United Church or the charity of your choice.
