Ernie peacefully passed away surrounded by his family and his beloved Dorothy at the age of 76 years.
Ernie joined the Canadian Armed Forces at the age of 16 and served for close to 30 years both abroad and in Canada. He then worked as a ‘civilian’ in base supply until his retirement.
His greatest joy was his family and golf.
Ernie was predeceased by his wife and his parents and in-laws. He is loved deeply and missed by his fiancée, Dorothy; his sons, Ernie, Doug, and David; his daughters, Doreen and Paulette; his nine grandchildren and his 3 great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by many extended family and friends.
Memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St., Chilliwack on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 10 a.m.
