Ernest Albert Voth passed away at the age of 76 on April 1, 2013 in Lethbridge, Alberta. Ernie was born on April 7, 1935 on his grandfather’s farm close to Manitou Manitoba. From there the family moved to Greendale B.C. where he lived until his marriage to Helen Hilda Wiebe in 1956. They moved to Vancouver where he graduated from Vancouver Vocational Institute and the University of British Columbia with a B.Ed. Subsequently the family moved to Penticton B.C. where he started his teaching career. On August 31, 1983 the Lord called Helen home after many years with cancer. On August 24, 1984,

Ernie married Wanda Eveline Bjorndal. They had another 28 good years together travelling to many places. On August 8, 2012 the Lord called Wanda home suddenly with an aneurism. Throughout life’s challenges, Ernie trusted his Lord. It was his life’s aim to please the Lord in all things. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Andy) Doyle-Linden and grandson Marcus; and pre-deceased by his infant children Norman John and Carol Jane. Ernie was the oldest of his siblings, Ruth (John) Hooge, MaryAnn (Rudy) Klassen, Viola (Delbert) Regier, Betty (Norm) Neetz and John (Emily) Voth. Wanda’s children Carol (Lauren) Enns, Miriam (Jim) Nikkel, Janice (Rick) Green, LaVerne (Debbie) Bjorndal, Cynthia (deceased) and Bill Unger, Ramona (Phil) Calloway and Dennis (deceased) and Annette Bjorndal and 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren have been a caring extended family. A graveside service was held at the Three Hills Cemetery, Three Hills, AB. April 5, 2013.
