Elizabeth (Betty) Wotypka passed away on April 7th, 2018 peacefully in her home at the glorious age of 102, in the presence of her loving family. She was born on January 24th, 1916 in Swift Current, SASK and was raised in Lowe Farm, MB. She resided and raised her family in Chilliwack for over 70 years.
She is predeceased by her husband Joseph, 3 step-children, 7 siblings and son-in-law Jim. She is survived by her sister Ann, loving daughters: Dena, Deanna (Bob), Shirley (Ian) and Josie, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was very active with several volunteer organizations over her lifetime, especially with MCC where she was the "yarn lady". She was a most powerful woman of few words, with a heart that understood all and an incredible understanding that the word "silent" has the same letters as the word "listen".
In memory of the strongest woman we will ever know, the greatest mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. There will be a service held at Sardis Community Church at 10:30 am on Saturday April 14th, 2018.
