Elizabeth “Beth” Nichols (nee Stewart) late of Chilliwack, B.C. and formerly of Vancouver, B.C. passed away Sunday, May 23, 2004 in Chilliwack at the age of 90 years. She was born October 15, 1913 in Vancouver, B.C., the daughter of Scottish immigrants, Hugh and Jane Stewart (nee McTier).
With the exception of a few years in Trail, B.C. as a child and the last 4 years of her life in Chilliwack, she lived in Vancouver. She married Wilfred Nichols of Vancouver in Aug. 1935. Early in her adult life she worked at Woodwards downtown store as a cashier and after a time spent at home raising her family went back to work at Woodwards, Oakridge store.

She is survived by her son, Richard (Marjory); 3 grandchildren: Sara (Karl) Johnson; Thomas and Daniel Nichols; 2 great-grandchildren, Emma and Kate Johnson, all of Chilliwack.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred “Bill” in Dec. 1999 and all of her siblings; Gene Hooper, Hugh Stewart, Etta March and Marie Williams.
