Born on September 3rd 1923 to Margaret and William Gieselman in Humboldt, Saskatchewan where she was raised in a small farmhouse along with 2 brothers and 6 sisters. She moved to Kamloops, BC in 1942 where she met and married Tony Rositch in 1944. They had 4 children Maureen, Jim, Tom and Donna.
She passed away peacefully on May 11th 2020 at the age of 96 at Heritage Village in Chilliwack, BC. She is survived by children, Jim (Glenna) Rositch, Tom (Linda) Rositch, Donna (Randy) Giesbrecht, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 6 great great-grandchildren, sisters Rita Sedar and Bertha Pavlik. As well as numerous other nieces, nephews, friends and more. She was predeceased by her dear parents, beloved husband, cherished brothers, 3 sisters and her much-loved daughter Maureen Shyba.
Eileen will always be remembered as the hard working woman who made sure the house was always clean, the buns, tarts, cookies and pies always plentiful, the rose and fruit bushes pruned, the vegetable garden always abundant, the canning shelves always stocked and the door always open with a place set at the table for you. She raised, shaped and created her family through love, hard work, and understanding.
She always had a smile and made everyone feel welcome. She will be cherished forever my many.
A funeral service was held for immediate family on Saturday May 23rd at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilliwack, BC.
