Effie Elizabeth (Betty) Russell aged 79, passed away August 26, 2002 at St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit, Vancouver.
She was predeceased by her husband Buddy Edward Russell on January 15, 1994.
She is survived by her loving and caring family, son Victor and wife Teri, son Allan, son Paul and wife Maureen, daughter Susan and husband Douglas Ferguson, son Kerry and wife Joanne, and son Rodney and wife Rebecca; and 11 loving grandchildren. She will be terribly missed by family and friends in Chelsey, Ont., Ladysmith, Chilliwack, Langley, and Vancouver.
Funeral service to be held August 31, 2002 at 12 noon at First Memorial Chapel, 602 Kingsway (one block west of Fraser St.), Vancouver. 604-876-5585. Reverend Michael Sabara officiating.
Very big thanks go to the staff at St. Paul’s Palliative Care Unit for making the last weeks comfortable for Mum. Also a big thank you to Royal Arch Masonic Home, Vancouver where Mum lived for the past six years, especially to Christine, Diane, Marilyn, and others.
