Ed passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the age of 76 years. He was born on August 15, 1934, in Chilliwack to parents Hope & Henry Hilts.
He is survived by Ruth, his loving wife of 56 years, as well as his children Dennis (Karen) Hilts, Dean (Marie) Hilts, Dawn (Len) Rollins, and Deanna (Randy) Hilts-Knudsen. He is also survived by his sister Dorthy Plank, and brother Ron Hilts, eight grandchildren; Morgan, Mathew (Crystal), Clayton, Christopher, Stephen, Jennifer (Jordan), Kevin and Julia as well as three great-grandchildren: James, Lily, and Jasper.
Ed owned and operated Trimen Blueprinting & Sales from 1975 until he retired in 1997 when he sold the business to his son. He was a long-time member of the Surrey Chamber of Commerce.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home with Brenda Janzen officiating. A reception will follow at the Henderson’s Funeral Home tea room.
