Earl Joseph Way passed away at the Chilliwack General Hospital on December 21, 2004 at the age of 72 years. He was born in Union, Elgin County, Ontario on November 21, 1932. He is survived by his loving wife Jean of 51 years and their five children; Douglas of Abbotsford, Deborah (John) Carlson of Oakville, On., Doris (John) Fulgham of Cloverdale, David (Vivian) Way of Surrey and Donald (Louanne) of Victoria, 9 grandchildren; Aaron, Cassie, Mike, Chris, Donyne, Desi, Jessica, Jennifer, Devin; and three brothers and two sisters. Earl was predeceased by his parents, one brother and two sisters. He was with the Royal Canadian Engineers for 29 years and served in Germany, Cypress, and the Congo and in Bermuda. He enjoyed golfing, reading and doing his favourite crossword puzzles. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004 at 1:00 pm at the Vedder View Cemetery with Father Fred Tassinari officiating.
