Douglas Sawatzky passed away at the beginning of February 2012 doing what he enjoyed, hiking and camping in the forests of the Chilliwack area. He experienced many hours of peace and quiet while marveling at the wondrous beauty of God’s great creation. Douglas was born December 14, 1970 and lived his entire (short) life in Chilliwack.
Douglas had a great love of music and enjoyed jamming with his friends. He also found joy in playing piano duets with his sister at family functions.
Doug will be sadly missed by his parents, Anne and Ron Sawatzky; sister, Vicky, of Hong Kong; and all extended family and friends.
Cremation – no service by request. A memorial service to be announced at a later date.
Rest in peace Doug, you will always be remembered for your kind-hearted and generous ways.
In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Salvation Army in Doug’s name.
