Douglas John McEwen, 83, passed away June 12, 2012 passed away at home.
Doug was born in Moose Jaw, Sask on November 6, 1928. He had a long marriage of 66 years to his loving, caring wife, Phyllis Gladys, who took wonderful care of him the last couple of months.
Doug leaves his wife, children, Donald (Trudy), Maureen, Elaine (Phyllis) and he leaves 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his remaining brothers and sisters, Cliff, Ken, Bob, Karen and Dorothy. Doug will join his sons, John and Doug in Heaven.
Doug had a long career with Sask Power until retirement to Chilliwack, BC. He loved to do carpentry, photography and enjoyed mechanics. He traveled for many years around Canada and the US with his wife. He also loved to play games and loved to win.
Doug will be cremated through Henderson’s Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be held at at later date at his club house in Chilliwack.
