June 8, 1927 - January 5, 2020
Donald Herbert Robinson, born on June 8, 1927, went to be with the Lord on January 5, 2020 at Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 92. He is survived by loving wife Betsy, son's Jay (Dawn) and Michael (Kyla); sister Elina (Wally); grandchildren Julee (Don), Sheri (Russ) and Shayne (Nia); nine great grandchildren; lifelong friends Ivan, Ken and Eldon. Predeceased by; brothers Bob and Frank. Sons; Bill and Donny.
Don was born in Cranbrook, BC to Herbert and Alice Robinson in 1927. He went onto attending school for management and started work at Finning in 1949. After retiring in 1984, Don found his love for farming and land clearing. He discovered the excitement with "wheeling and dealing" in the cattle industry. He also found pleasure putting in hard work and dedication with everything he did.
Don was also a lifelong dedicated member of the Shrines. Every Saturday, Don would get together with the Johnstons Packers team for coffee, and made sure to always maintain his connections. In his later days, Don's favourite past times was going to Walmart, and Costco with his wife, playing cards with family, and enjoying family meals. He was a very giving man, as he would love to slip cash to his nieces and nephews, to put a big smile on their faces. He also enjoyed long phone conversations with David, Elizabeth and Frans. He looked forward to Sig and Dianna's birthday surprises, that he proudly placed around his home. Some of Don's favourite moments, is from his friends, the Major's (Don and Joan Law), when being surprised with week long visits.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 1 pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack, BC V2P 1B5. Pastor Don Law officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations gratefully accepted to "Chilliwack Bowls of Hope Society".
