Connie was born March 13, 1934 in Beverly, Alberta and completed this life in Chilliwack, BC on March 15, 2021.
She is fondly remembered by her family - brother Ken Kempster, sister Shirley Young, children Cathy (Ian) Smith, Dean (Marcia) Colpitts, Jayne Norton, Nadine (Peter), grandchildren Jessica (Kyle), Chris (Lora), Sara (Guy), Alison, Graham, Joanna (Casey) and Jay, great-grandchildren Trey, Sienna, Maylee and Poppy, nieces and nephews and many beloved friends.
Connie was predeceased by her husband Harry, brother Jimmy and her parents Jim (Albert) & Winnifred Kempster.
Connie was born and raised in Beverly, Alberta and held memories of CGIT, prairie winters, skating and summers at Kapasiwin on Lake Wabamun, Alberta. Connie sang in the Beverly United Church choir with her sister Shirley with her father Jim as the church organist.
After completing high school at Victoria Composite, Connie worked as a dental assistant at the University of Alberta Faculty of Dentistry.
Connie and children settled in Surrey, BC. She sold real estate and with the introduction of lottery tickets became the manager of the BC Elks Lottery Distribution. Connie met Harry Herrington and they married. Connie began working as a Provincial Gaming Inspector.
Connie retired in 1999 as a Senior Investigator for the BC Gaming Branch. After retirement Connie took on the role of being Harry's primary caregiver until he passed in 2007. Her family, friends new, old and the addition of the "babies" added great joy to her life. Connie was the heart of her family. She loved all her children, grand and great.
She will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humour, tall tales and her kind heart. She made lifelong friends everywhere she went.
