BARBER, Colleen Hazel
October 10, 1949 - November 28, 2016
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our mother Colleen on November 28th, 2016 at the Chilliwack General Hospital at the age of 67. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and great grandmother. She will be remembered for her kind and caring way and a special heart.
Colleen grew up in Chilliwack and was a long time resident of Ryder Lake where she lived a good life with family and friends close by. A country girl at heart, she brought joy to all who met her. She was predeceased by her loving husband Wes who were married for 48 years. She is survived by her son Bill (Rhonda Gust Pierini), daughter Sheri (Michael) Belich, grandchildren Dustin, Cameron, Melissa, Megan, great grandchildren Jack and Maisie. Also survived by sister in laws, Eleanor Reid, Lyman WA. and Bea Mazurenko, Ryder Lake and many nieces and nephews.
The family want to thank the wonderful doctors and nurses who cared for mom while in hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Hassani.
A celebration of Life will be held Thursday December 8 2016 at 1pm at Hendersons Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave. Chilliwack. B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
