On Saturday, June 7, 2003, Clara Marohn passed away at the age of 92 years.
Predeceased by her husband, Reinhold in 1999, parents, brothers and sisters.
Clara is survived by five step children; Artur Marohn in Arkansas, USA, Gerhard Marohn in Vancouver, B.C, Seigfreid Marohn in Richmond, B.C, Deiter Marohn in Regina, Sask. and Gisela Gingras in Toronto, ON. Clara is also survived by her three nieces; Maureen Becket, Burnaby, B.C, Florence Tisdale, Medicine Hat, AB and Edna McCall, Regina, Sask.
Clara was born September, 26, 1911 in Dolls Slupca, Poland, to parents, Julius and Marta Klatt. She lived her early years in Germany. Clara spent some time during the Second World War in a concentration camp. She came to Canada in 1950 to Edenwold, Sask. There she worked on a farm for three years. She moved to Fort San where she worked as a housekeeper. In 1954, Clara went to Regina, Sask. she worked at the Regina General Hospital as a housekeeper until her marriage to Reinhold Marohn on May 26, 1972. She continued to work there until her retirement.
In 1981, Reinhold and Clara moved to Chilliwack where they lived until 1999. Clara moved into the Extended Care home in Richmond where she passed away. She will be missed by all her relatives and friends
Funeral Services are to be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at 1:30 pm. in the Chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 45865 Hocking Ave, Chilliwack , B.C.
