Murray passed away suddenly at Chilliwack General Hospital just shy of his 82nd birthday. He is survived by his wife Alice Blanchard, daughter Catina (Scott) Carpenter, and grandchildren Zackery and Hannah Carpenter. He was predeceased by his parents Allen & Aileen Blanchard as well as his brother Ian Blanchard. Murray was a longtime member of the Kiwanis Club of Chilliwack as well as a founding member of the Valley Power and Sail Squadron.
The family will be hosting a Memorial Tea at Woodlawn Mt. Cheam Funeral Home on Hocking Ave. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 1:30.
