Cecil passed into the presence of His Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 9th, 2011 at Chilliwack General Hospital. One week short of his 85th birthday. He was born on June 16th, 1926 at the family home on Prest Road in Chilliwack.
Cecil owned 2 family businesses in Chilliwack; Chilliwack Delivery and Brownies Fried Chicken. He worked for 10 years for the City of Chilliwack Parks Department. Between working at his businesses and the City of Chilliwack, he built 2 houses and had numerous renovation projects. Cecil enjoyed gardening and puttering in his yard and shop. He did some traveling. His biggest joy was being with his family, especially family occasions.
Cecil will be dearly missed and remembered by his loving wife, Helen of 63 years, sons Grant (Cathy), Barrie (Marilyn), grandchildren Nickl (Andy), Cory (Tanya), Matt (Liz), Amanda (Dan), great-grandchildren Kobe, Kyle, Carson, Jake, Kyren, Cypress and Nicolas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Andy and Anna Denham, 2 sisters Lil and Bea, and 2 brothers Frank and Bob.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 15th, 2011 from 6-8:00 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, June 16th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Henderson’s Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Avenue, Chilliwack. Pallbearers are: Cory Denham, Andy Bonato, Randy Boldt, Craig Boldt, Larry Ganert, and Pete Tolsma.
