It has pleased the Lord to take from our side our dearly beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-, and great-great grandmother, sister and aunt, Catrina Maartje (Trina) Kerkhoff- nee Murray.
Born on February 27th, 1925 in Zuilichem, the Netherlands, she immigrated from the Netherlands to Chilliwack with her husband, Johan C. Kerkhoff, and nine children in March of 1966 and passed away at the age of 96 years and almost 7 months in Chilliwack, B.C.
Catrina was predeceased by her husband, Johan, in November 1985, two granddaughters, Willemina Kerkhoff and Pietertje Kerkhoff; two grandsons, Nathan Jelier and Jonathan Van Herk; one great grandson David Anker; one great-granddaughter, Sarina Kerkhoff (all of Chilliwack); and five brothers in the Netherlands.
She is survived by her children: Casey and Jane Kerkhoff (van Maren), Bill and Nellie Kerkhoff (van Oort), Willie and Tony Guliker (Kerkhoff), Bartje and Bas Jelier (Kerkhoff), Maarten and Anneke Kerkhoff (van den Bosch), Dirk andToos Kerkhoff (Klop), Peter and Christina Kerkhoff (van der Knijff), Rita and Mart van Herk (Kerkhoff), and Myka and Peter Jelier (Kerkhoff), all of Chilliwack, B.C., one sister Maria van Honk-Murray and one sister-in-law Govertje Murray, both of the Netherlands; also by 47 grandchildren, 150 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for our beloved mother will be held the Lord willing at 10 o'clock am on Friday, September 24, 2021 in the Reformed Congregation in North America, 48952 Yale Rd. E, Chilliwack, B.C. Elder John Van Saane officiating. Interment to follow at Chilliwack Cemeteries, Hillcrest Rd., Chilliwack, B.C.
