VAN RUMPT; Catharina Everdina (nee Philipsen)
Went to be with her Lord on Monday, September 05, 2016 at the Bradley Center in Chilliwack at the age of 84. She was born July 31, 1932 in Den Haag, Netherlands. Rini is survived by Wil and Jan Eberwijn, Joka and Gerrit Romeyn, Robert and Mary Ann Van Rumpt, Catharina Van Rumpt, Marieka and Rene Hulstein; 16 grandchildren; 32 grandchildren; and her sister Diny Cammeraat
(Netherlands). She was predeceased by husband, Rochus (Roger) Van Rumpt in 2011 & grandbaby Martin Romeyn in 1974. Rini married and started a family in Holland. In 1973, she and her husband immigrated to Canada with 4 out of 5 children. Their oldest daughter stayed behind, but many trips were made back and forth to see each other. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to sew. She also devoted herself to her church leading Bible studies and service to her church family. She was always very hospitable to everyone and often had guests in her home. She will be truly missed by family and friends near and far.
Condolences at Henderson's Funeral Home (Chilliwack) on Friday, September 09 from 7-8 pm. A church service will be held on Saturday, September 10 at 10:30 am at Emmanuel Free Reformed Church, Mount Lehman Rd, Abbotsford.
