Carter Norman Johnston passed away peacefully on Friday, March 16th, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Carter, the son of Brad and Jen Johnston (nee Hipwell), was born on July 26th, 2005 in Chilliwack. He is survived by his three siblings, Jack (14), twins Marley and Mason (8) and his dog Kona. He leaves behind his Papa and Nana, D'Arcy and Marla Hipwell of Victoria, Grandpa Norm Johnston of Chilliwack and several aunts, uncles and cousins: Stacy and Mark Leger (Dylan, Emily, Burton), Mike and Jacqui Hipwell (Logan, Vienna), Kristi Johnston and Paul McManus (Mikaela, Maddi, Makenzi), Kerry and Sarah Johnston (Dallas, Lyla). Carter is predeceased by his Grandma Sharon Johnston.
Carter loved spending time with family and friends. He was an exceptionally caring boy who was kind to everyone. He gained so much pleasure from helping others and seeing other people happy always lit up his beautiful eyes and brought that shimmering smile to his face. Carter's smile would light up everything and everyone around him. He possessed so many wonderful qualities. He had a great sense of humour and he loved to laugh and tell jokes. He was tremendously positive, brave and he never ever gave up. He inspired us all to embrace life and live in the moment.
Carter loved school and was an excellent student; he attended Sardis Elementary and Vedder Middle School. He was a natural athlete who loved all sports and he was highly involved in hockey, soccer and baseball.
Carter gave us a lifetime of love during his short time on earth. He will forever be in our hearts.
Celebration of Carter - Saturday, April 14th at 1:00 pm - Chilliwack Cultural Centre.
