April 25, 1942 - December 9, 2021
On 9th December, 2021 at 4:03 pm the love of my life, Camilla [Cam] took her last earthly breath and went home to be with her Lord [and our Savior] Jesus Christ after a lengthy medical battle. She was treated for the most part successfully until the end, upon which it all seemed to be redundant ... she wanted to go home to be with her Lord & Savior.
Camilla Jacqueline Myland was born on 25th April, 1942 in Witley, co. Surrey, England to Lenard & Kathleen Myland [both deceased] and emigrated to Canada in the late 1940's, settling in the Vancouver, BC area. She attended Gladstone High School and met the love of her life [Doug] in 1963 while he studied Geological Engineering at UBC ... he was her "knight in shining armour".
Cam & Doug married on 10th September, 1965 and raised two boys, Ian [b.1967] and David [b.1970]. Moving to Chilliwack in 1974 for a better environment to raise a family, Cam was quite involved in the local church. She loved to sing and participated in many choir productions of Evergreen Baptist, Chilliwack Alliance and Sardis Fellowship Churches in Chilliwack.
She loved to travel and visited many places in England, Ireland, Europe and Cook Islands in the South Pacific [her favourite holiday destination, having made 10 trips since 1998]. She made friends everywhere she went and will be dearly missed by many.
Cam is survived by her loving husband, Doug; sons: Ian[Miriam] and David [Christl]; grandsons: Connor & Sean from Ian; Logan, Duncan and Evan from David; plus Doug's sister Brenda [Garry] Bysouth and their families. From her mother's side, she still has aunts, an uncle and several cousins in England who she has tried to keep in touch with as much as she could over the years.
Although her light has gone out here on earth, we believe she will continue singing praises to her Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven for eternity. We miss you Cam, but we believe we will see you again in our glorified bodies.
Doug & Family
PS: A celebration of Cam's life will be held at a future date at Sardis Fellowship Baptist Church. For those wishing to donate in Cam's memory, a gift to Samaritan's Purse Canada - International Relief would be appreciated.
