It is with great sorrow the family of Brian James Wiebe, announce his sudden passing from a heart attack at the age of 64 years.
Brian is predeceased by his father Peter, mother Katherine, and young brother Leonard. Brian was born in Chilliwack and raised on a dairy farm in Greendale, he worked very hard on the farm until the age of 18, when family sold and moved to Sardis. His hobbies after graduating were tinkering with engines, fishing, hunting, camping, with his buddy Doug and brother Bruce's families.
In later years his favorite things to do were TRAVEL! He travelled with various family members cruising or flying to exotic locations; Europe, Australia, China, Caribbean Islands, Hawaii, Mexico, Alaska, all over the U.S.A., Atlantic Provinces, many times over.
He loved the outdoors, spending countless hours on his flowers and yard, walking the Vedder Trail, checking water levels, the fish, eagles nests and coyotes, while listening to his sisters stories.
He loved to go to car shows, gun shows, biking, kayaking, and watch the Canucks with brother in law Bill, going to see Bruce and family in Prince George, sister Cindy and family in Anchorage.
Before his retirement at the age of 60 years, he had a long career with University of the Fraser Valley. Brian is survived by his brother Bruce (Joyce) Wiebe, sisters Sandra (Mark) Fisher, Linda (Bill) McKay, and Cynthia (Tom) Rogers.
He also leaves behind many very cherished nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
We are so heartbroken to lose our best friend and wing man. Brian was everything to us, always had a good outlook on life, great humor, you could always count on him to lend a hand, (especially with a chainsaw) and he was always ready to go on a new adventure.
We love you Bri, our brother and uncle, we will miss you.
Celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
