Our Mom, Auntie, Sister, Granny and Great Granny passed away peacefully September 18, 2007 at the age of 92 after a long illness and decline. Bernice was born in Hastings Coulee, Alberta, February 24, 1915. She came to Chilliwack in 1990.  She was predeceased by her first husband Gordon Brubaker, second husband Bob Hornby, and sisters Vi Hinman and Verona Pushor.  She is survived by her daughter Janet (Larry) Brown of Grande Prairie, Alberta, and son Dale (Carol) Brubaker of Chilliwack, sister Marge Kelly of Viking, Alberta, grandchildren Sheryl (Len) Wilson of Grande Prairie, Laurie (Ken) Davis, of London, Ontario, Barry ( Louise) Brown, of Ottawa, Ontario, Eileen Veitch of Kingston, Ontario, Christina Brown of Grande Prairie, Alberta, David Brubaker of Chilliwack and Glenn (Stephanie) Brubaker of Chilliwack. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and  numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Monday, September 24 at 2:30 PM at the Legion Cemetary. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Eden Centre and Dr. Heather Leyen for their caring and compassion, and the staff of Pharmasave downtown for their benevolence, and a special thank you to Joan Lundgren for her marvelous kind consideration. We would also like to thank the Home Support Service for the hours of wonderful, giving care to Bernice. In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society
