Anna "Anne" Robertson of 4510-10 Ave. Tsawwassen and formerly of Chilliwack, BC and Lethbridge, Alberta passed away surrounded by family on October 25, 2018 at KinVillage Seniors Home, she was age 89.
Anne was the ultimate homemaker, cook and gardener; she made wonderful bread and cinnamon buns. Nothing in the garden would go to waste. Summers were spent canning, pickling and preserving in preparation for the winter months. How lucky were we. Anne was involved with The Elks order of Royal Purple of Canada (Lodge No 110) for many years. She enjoyed the drill team and the many fundraisers the ladies were involved in. Mom enjoyed camping and golfing and she and our Dad went on many camping trips over the years.
She will be sadly missed by her one daughter Linda Robertson (Jim Harrison) of Ladner, BC, two sons, Bill Robertson (Donna Robertson) of Campbell River and Tim Robertson (Rhonda Richardson) of Beaver Lodge, Alberta, five Grandchildren, eight beautiful Great Grandchildren, and also many nieces and nephews.
Anne's husband Samuel Robertson predeceased her, in 1987; also a stillborn son in 1961. There is a family reunion in heaven as Anne was the youngest and last surviving member of the Aron and Anna Janzen family of Lethbridge Alberta. Both parents and all of Anne's brothers Aron, Frank, Pete, Abe, John and Jake and four others (One sister and three brothers) who died in infancy predeceased her.
A family graveside service is planned for Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 2:00 pm at the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Henderson Funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Anyone wishing to pay their respects may do so during regular business hours (9:00 - 5:00).
