Allen John Cass was born November 29, 1930 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Allen resided in Regina, completing his education and keeping company with his three brothers and sister.
Married life began in 1954 with his beloved wife, Ruth and joined by his son Shane in 1955, and son Kevin in 1957.
Allen joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1957, serving as an Engineer in Germany, in Alert, as a member of the United nations in Cyprus and in many CFB bases in Canada.
On retirement from the Forces in 1982, he worked for the Canadian Gov’t in Public Service for ten years.
Moving to The Fraser Valley in 1998, residing by the Vedder River to enjoy full retirement with Ruth and with regular visits from sons Shane and Kevin, his brother Douglas, many relatives, and friendships maintained with many military persons.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Ruth, sons Shane and Kevin, brother Doug, sister Marlene and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service to be held February 9, 2010, 1:30 pm at Royal Canadian Legion, Vedder Golden Branch #280 5661 Vedder Rd, Vedder Crossing.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Legion Poppy Fund, Chilliwack Safe Haven Animal Shelter.
