(Jan. 26, 1918 - Jan. 23, 2008)

Mum passed away peacefully at Chilliwack General Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Edendoit, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, into a family of 10 children.

Alice married William George Leonard Williams on April 18, 1944. They had four children.

Mum was predeceased by her husband William George Leonard Williams and their son John as well as sisters Mary Bridget McGuire, Katherine Ward, Eileen Mason and brother John McGeough. She is survived by brothers: Francis (Margaret) McGeough and Felix McGeough of N. Ireland, Patrick (Kathleen) McGeough of Cheltenham, Glous. England and sisters Margaret Harding of Solihull, Birmingham, England and Rose Conry of Staten Island, New York as well as numerous nieces and nephews; son, Gerry and wife Sharon Williams, daughters Margaret and husband Bruce Butcher and kathleen Reddekop lovingly remember her. Alice had six grandchildren: Kelly (Stewart) Berge, Mark (Amy) Williams, Gordon (Heather) Reddekop, Bryan Reddekop, Leanna Butcher and Jason Butcher as well as great grandchildren Hailey, Chloe, Miles and Simon Berge, Sadie and Jenna Williams, Kierra and Michael Reddekop and Jessica Day.

Prayers for Alice will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 8909 Mary St., Chilliwack at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 1:30 pm, Father Paul Than Bui, celebrant.

Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Promontory Rd. Sardis followed by a reception at St. Mary’s Church loft.

The family would like to thank Dr. Heather Leyen, Paramedics, Chilliwack General Hospital Emergency Room and NU5 staff as well as Fraser Health Home Care staff for all of their compassion and support.

Mum is lovingly remembered by all of her family near and far. She was a kind and gentle soul who gave to many charities. She loved to knit for all the children in the family and to join in celebrations of all birthdays and happy events. Many family and friends remember enjoying a Sunday dinner with roast beef and yorkshire pudding followed by her popular trifle or pineapple dessert.
