Albert Joseph Gauvin was born in Minto, New Brunswick in 1938. He passed away peacefully on November 16th, 2004 in Chilliwack, B.C.
He is survived by his loving companion Verna, Son Don (Nancy) and daughter Tammie. Stepsons, Michael (Susan) Huhn, Steven (Carla) Huhn, Anthony (Christine) Huhn and Chris Huhn. Grandchildren; Michael, Kristi, Colton, Amanda, Jason, Sasha, Cole, Jason and Evan. Brother Bill (Jocelyn).
Al started his career as a barber and opened Al's Barbershop in Chilliwack. From there he went into Forestry. Then on to construction. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hard work. After he retired he went to work as an apartment manager at Cottonwood Lodge. Then, the Taylor Place Development.
He is predeceased by his mother Mary, father Albert and daughter Michelle.
The family would like to thank Dr. Vivian, Dr. Fam, Dr. Richmond and Dr. Schopf and the nurses in ICU for their care of Al especially nurse Kristin.
A celebration of Al's life will be held on Saturday Nov. 20, 2004 at 2 P.M. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4, 9350 Mary St. Chilliwack, B.C.
In lieu of flowers donations in Al's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
