The Chilliwack Youth Advisory Committee is getting ready to host its Youth-led Virtual Summit, May 20-21.

This year Chilliwack youth will be presenting on topics ranging from mental health, to harm reduction, inclusion and accessibility.

“This is a chance to listen to youth and hear what they have to say, as well as ask any questions you may have to help improve your knowledge as a service provider, educator or government official,” according to the YAC invitation.

“We invite you to join us to celebrate the diversity of Chilliwack and to collaborate on solutions to create more inclusivity and accessibility for the youth in Chilliwack.”

The free, virtual summit event will have eight scheduled ‘breakout rooms’ over two days.

Participants will be shining the spotlight on experiences of LGBTQ2SIA+ and BIPOC youth, as well as youth with disabilities, in care or experiencing homelessness.

Register to get Zoom link from Eventbrite.

Youth-led Virtual Summit, May 20-21, 2021, will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
